După instalare şi lansare, Refog consemnează toate tastele apăsate de către utilizator, acţionând astfel ca un keylogger. Această funcţie surprinde toate datele introduse de către un angajat cu ajutorul tastaturii, inclusiv chaturi, nume de utilizator, parole, e-mailuri, interogări din motoarele de căutare şi alte informaţii. Pe lângă înregistrarea tastelor, Refog poate şi să consemneze textul plasat pe clipboard.
Jurnalizarea istoricului web
Chiar şi dacă utilizatorii şterg istoricul browserului lor, informaţiile rămân în baza de date cu jurnale Refog, fiind mereu disponibile prin intermediul rapoartelor. Sunt preluate toate informaţiile relevante, inclusiv URL-urile accesate, denumirile de pagină şi marcajul temporal.
